ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) has made the Covid vaccination certificate mandatory for the domestic air travelers from August 1.

The NCOC announced the new air travel guideline on Twitter on Saturday.

It said that the coronavirus vaccination certificate was mandatory for the passengers taking domestic flights from August 1.

Citizens have been advised to get themselves vaccinated to avoid any inconvenience.

Earlier, the NCOC had issued directives to ensure travel restrictions and hotel reservation at tourist places on unvaccinated people aged above 30 years.

Meanwhile, Asad Umar, the head of National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) on Saturday said that Covid mortality rate in Pakistan was lowest as compared to other nations of the region. However, he warned that the danger was still looming.

Asad Umar, in his tweet, said that the timely decisions, hard work, cooperation of people and blessing of Allah Almighty the government had effectively handled the pandemic.

Giving details of deaths, he wrote that Covid deaths/million population in our region: Iran 1037, Nepal 326, India 301, Sri Lanka 186, Afghanistan 160, Bangladesh 113 and Pakistan 102.”
