OTTAWA: Court orders tobacco firms to pay back smokers 12.4 billion dollars as they were not wormed about health risks linked with smoking. Smokers have filed case against tobacco firms in Quebec, Canada.

Imperial Tobacco Canada, Rothmans Benson & Hedges and JTI-MacDonald have decided to appeal in the court against the fine. The petitioners said in the court that the tobacco companies were failed to properly warn their customers about the dangers of smoking.
