Accountability Court on Thursday extended Balochistan’s former finance adviser Khalid Langove’s remand by 14 more days in mega corruption case.

The ex-finance adviser was produced before Judge Abdul Majeed Nasir by National Accountability Bureau Balochistan.

Counsel for the defendant appealed the court to overrule NAB’s plea for extension in his client’s remand alleging that interrogation was being stretched unnecessarily.

Khaliqabad Administrator of Municipal Committee, Saleem Shah was also produced before the court.

Raid on suspended finance secretary of Balochistan, Mushtaq Raisani’s house led to his arrest after Rs 630 million in cash was seized from the residence.

Arrests in different cities were made including that of a government contractor named Sohail Shah in Karachi’s Defense Housing Authority.
