ISLAMABAD: An accountability court on Thursday extended 14 days in the physical remand of former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and ex-finance minister Miftah Ismail in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) case.
Both the PML-N leaders were produced before the court after their remand was expired today.
During the hearing, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prayed the court for an extension in the remand of the accused.
The court was informed by an investigating officer that he had brought all the records with him and on the basis of records and evidence the accountability watchdog was requesting for an extension.
Later, the court approved 14-day extension in the physical remand and ordered the accused to be presented on September 26.
