ISLAMABAD: The World Bank’s Country Director Patchamuthu Illangovan called on Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here on Friday.
Mr. Illangovan apprised the Minister of the progress of World Bank’s project portfolio in Pakistan and discussed matters relating to the projects currently in the pipeline. He also shared with the Minister various suggestions on expediting the implementation of the on-going projects as well as ideas on early finalization of the up-coming projects.
The Minister expressed his satisfaction with the pace of implementation of World Bank funded projects. He appreciated the support extended by the World Bank and stated that the financial and technical assistance offered by the International financial institutions had greatly helped the government in achieving the objective of macroeconomic stability in a short span of two years.
