Corruption, money laundering are Pakistan’s biggest issues: Imran khan

TALAGANG : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, Imran Khan on Sunday held corruption and money laundering as Pakistan’s biggest issues, adding  that people should question the source of money that was used to purchase Surrey Palace.

Khan addressed a rally of PTI supporters in Talagang and lambasted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and leaders of the ruling party as well as those of Pakistan People’s Party for corruption.

During his address, Khan defended corruption accusations against Modi and said that he is fighting corruption.

 “Narendra Modi, Indian premier is not corrupt but is fighting corruption in India”, he added.

He was of the view that top officer A D Khawaja, Inspector General of Police in Sindh’ is transferred for attempting to hinder wrong practices, adding that Sharjeel Memon, accused of Rs 5 billion corruption was welcomed in Pakistan as if he was returning after winning a World Cup.

He said that Dr Asim Hussain is accused of pocketing Rs 460 billion in corruption while total development budget of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is Rs 113 billion.
