LAHORE: Deputy chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, has said that the corrupt rulers had defamed the country in the comity of the nations while corruption had given birth to terrorism which was causing deaths of innocent people in different parts of the country. He was addressing a large Friday congregation at  Mansoora mosque.

Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said that rulers had totally failed to protect the life, property and honour of the masses while they themselves were enjoying heavy security at the cost of the public at large. These people had no right to remain in power, he said.

He said that Pakistani citizens were being killed at the LoC and the international border by unprovoked firing from India but the rulers were maintaining criminal silence over it as they did not have the guts to lodge a strong protest over it. He stressed upon the government to raise voice against India’s excesses at international level.

Meanwhile, Namaz e Istisqa (special prayer for rain) was offered at Mansoora, after Juma prayers.
