‘Corruption Free Pakistan’ campaign enters into decisive phase: Sirajul Haq

PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq says ‘Corruption Free Pakistan’ campaign has entered into decisive phase and accountability become a slogan of every citizen.

While addressing  a press conference at Al-Markaz-e-Islami, Peshawar, he demanded of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to present himself for accountability. Haq expressed his disappointment over  Chaudhry Nisar’s statement by adding that the interior minister showed  stubbornness by refusing the opposition’s ToRs without reading.

The JI Ameer said accountability process will not be limited to Panama Leaks. He said it is the need of the hour to make all the corrupts accountable and the process should be extend to 1947.

He said the Panama papers revelations damaged the national credibility. He further said the joint opposition forwarded its recommendations about probe of Panama papers to the rulers and now ball is in the government’s basket.

Haq said they will table an accountability bill in the assembly soon. He announced to present himself and JI leadership for accountability.  Sirajul Haq said that they wanted to make the’ Corruption Free Pakistan’ comparing more effective. He said JI wanted to eliminate electoral and economical corruption as well. He continued judiciary also needed reforms.

Sirajul Haq said JI will  hold office bearers meeting on May 09 in Islamabad to give momentum to ‘Corruption Free Pakistan’ campaign. He said the next phase of the campaign will be announced in the meeting. He vowed to free the country of corrupt group.
