Corrupt India: Every second citizen paid bribe last year, says Transparency International

New Delhi: Every second Indian citizen had paid bribe last year (2018), says a latest report on corruption here.

Transparency International India (TII) and social media platform LocalCircles jointly issued a national report on corruption that branded the bribe practice as a part and parcel of daily life in India.

A CNN report quoting the survey said that 51 per cent of the respondents from 20 states admitted of paying bribe.

About 24 per cent of the respondents claimed they paid bribe several times in last year.
