KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi Lt-Gen. Naveed Mukhtar on Thursday called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and discussed the extension in Rangers powers.
Law and order situation in the metropolis Karachi was also discussed in the meeting.
Sindh Home Minister Sohail Ahmed Siyal and Senior Minister Murad Ali Shah were also present in the meeting at the CM House.
Qaim Ali Shah conveyed the Corps Commander over reservations of Sindh Government and its viewpoint on the extension of the powers of paramilitary force. The special powers of Rangers have ended five days back and the Sindh government has linked its extension with the approval of Sindh Assembly.
