ISLAMABAD: As of Saturday afternoon a new case of coronavirus has been reported here in Islamabad.

A 30-year-old woman returned from the US has been diagnosed with coronavirus today.

She had been shifted to an isolation ward of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

Now the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country has jumped to 29.

On Wednesday, a new case was confirmed in Gilgit Baltistan, a government official says.

He added that a 14-year-old boy, a resident of Skardu, has become the latest victim of coronavirus.

The boy has been kept in quarantine at a hospital.

Thirteen cases have been confirmed in Sindh, six in  Balochistan, four in Islamabad and three in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The deadly virus has so far killed over 4,000 people in the world.
