KARACHI: As of Wednesday noon (12:30pm) the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus has reached 2,049 while 26 died in the country.
After emergence of new cases, Punjab overtook Sindh with 708 confirmed infections.
Eighty-two patients have recovered so far in the country while 26 have lost their lives.

In Punjab: 708
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 253

In Islamabad: 58
In Gilgit-Baltistan: 184

Globally over 42,000 people have so far died of the deadly disease.
