Coronavirus outbreak compelled me to order lockdown, Murad tells industrialists

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said on Sunday that the coronavirus outbreak had compelled the government to order lockdown in the province.

The chief minister stated this while chairing a meeting attended by provincial ministers Dr Azra, Saeed Ghani, Nasir Shah, Murtaza Wahab, chief secretary, IGP Mushtaq Mahar, Corps V Brig Sami and others.

Earlier, the meeting discussed a suggestion put forward by the export oriented industrialists.

The industrialists requested the chief minister to allow them resume industrial activities on certain conditions so that they could meet export orders.
