Baltimore: The coronavirus can enter into the host person’s body through eyes, a new study claims here.
The latest study was carried out by the scientists at the Johns Hopkins University.
The researchers said that the virus might enter into the body of a person if droplets from a sneeze or a cough of a patient person fall into his eyes.
They said the the virus attacks ACE 2 Receptor present in a body. This ACE2 Receptor is present in eyes, they added.
The scientists have recommended the frontline doctors and paramedics treating the coronavirus patients to wear special glasses.
