KARACHI: A session court has sent an accused policeman into police physical remand in the case of torturing a woman.
The policeman, Akbar, had slapped the woman for allegedly stealing from a shopping mall in Clifton. The policeman was presented before judicial magistrate south. The accused stated before the court that the woman was a professional thief who was arrested for stealing and during interrogation she spit on his face and verbally abused him on which he could not control his emotions and slapped the lady.
The court heard statement of the accused and sent him to one day physical remand. Meanwhile, he postponed the hearing for tomorrow and ordered the interrogation officer to present medical report of torture on the woman.
