Karak: A police officer was killed while protecting the anti-polio team.
According to police, an anti-polio drive was underway in Karak’s Latambar area during which unidentified armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on a policeman guarding the polio team, killing him on the spot.
After the incident, a heavy contingent of police was called in the area and the polio campaign was temporarily halted while the body of the martyred official was taken into custody and search for the accused was started.
