Sindh High court on Tuesday deferred the indictment on Inspector General of Sindh Police Ghulam Haider Jamali and other officials in contempt of court case.
Jamali and 11 other police officers were due to be indicted today for allowing masked policemen to attack disgruntled PPP leader Zulfiqar Mirza’s convoy at premises of SHC and the adjoining anti-terrorism court last year.
Ahmed Ali Shaikh led two member bench performed today’s hearing.
Ghulam Haider Jamali and other police officers were present before the court for hearing.
During the hearing the assistant advocate general Sindh told court the advocate general is ill and will not be able to appear before the court today.
The court ordered the advocate general to appear before the court in the next hearing and adjoined the hearing by December 22.
The court also postponed the indictment on the accused.
