In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson Aasiya Andrabi.
A JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that everybody is aware that Aasiya Andrabi’s health condition is not well since long, adding that prolonging her illegal detention is nothing but a political vendetta which is the worst form of state terrorism.
He said that despite her falling health no medical treatment or care is provided to her. The inhuman and cruel treatment meted out to her at the hands of jail authorities is condemnable.
He appealed leaders, imams of mosques and intellectuals to raise their voice against oppression and illegal detention of Aasiya Andrabi and her associates Nahida Nasreen and Fahmida Sofi.
The spokesman appealed to the international bodies international Amnesty
International and other human rights organizations to come to the rescue of the detainees and take notice of the Indian sate terrorism in the occupied territory.
