RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited headquarters of Strike Corps at Mangla in the wake of the ongoing escalating tensions across the borders.
As per details, COAS reviewed the operational preparedness of the armed forces during his visit.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that General Raheel Sharif was accompanied by Chief of Logistics, Director General Military Operations and the corps commanders of Lahore, Gujranwala and Peshawar during his visit to headquarters of Strike Corps at Mangla.
The purpose of this visit was to review the operational preparedness in the wake of recent escalating tensions across LoC and also the Indian war craze being hyped up after Uri Attack.
Moreover, the recent incidents of cross-border firing were also the reason behind the visit somehow.
COAS and corps commanders were briefed by Commander Central Command and Director General Military Operations at the meeting.
General Raheel Sharif expressed his complete satisfaction over the operational preparedness of Pakistan Army.
Meanwhile, the Indian government is also taking their words back about the surgical strike and seems to be on back foot over the issue.—Agencies
