HYDERABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Sindh Regimental Centre, Hyderabad, on Thursday.
Upon arrival he laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrs of Sind Regiment for defence of the motherland.
The COAS pinned ranks to Lt General Nadeem Raza as Colonel Commandant of the Sindh Regiment. The ceremony was attended by large number of serving and retired officers and soldiers of Sind Regiment.
Speaking on the occasion, the COAS appreciated contributions of Sind Regiment towards defence and security.
Earlier, on arrival at Hyderabad, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza, Corps Commander Karachi.
