ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Shairf will visit Afghanistan on Sunday.
Director General Inter Services Public Relations, Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa said on Twitter that the army chief will hold meetings with political and military leadership of Afghanistan during his day-long visit to the neighboring country.
The army chief’s visit will follow Indian PM Narendra Modi’s address to Afghan parliament where he urged closer cooperation between India, Pakistan and other neighbours besides blaming Islamabad for cross-border terrorism.
