Rawalpindi: Pakistani Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called on Chairman State Duma of Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin in Moscow during his visit to Russia.
Sergey Naryshkin apprecaited firm efforts for the stability of peace in the region being made by Pakistan. He also praised achievements of Pakistani military in ongoing operations to uproot terrorism.
He vowed that Russia will stand besides Pakistan in the fight against terrorism and extremism to ensure stablity in the region, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) stated in his Twitter message here on Wednesday.
‘Our relations are independent, more consistent and will further grow,’ he added.
Moreover, both high-ups expressed their keen in collaboration and discussed ways to enhance cooperation and more military exchanges to benefit by exchanging combat experiences.
During the visit, COAS General Raheel Sharif spent witnessing dynamic defence expo on June 16 with Highly impressive display of all types arms, aircrafts, helicopters and other weaponry.
