CNG stations reopen in Karachi

KARACHI: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations resumed their work in Karachi and Sindh as their supply was restored by Sui Southern Gas Company on Wednesday.

Earlier. All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas Association on Wednesday announced to protest outside Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) office over prolonged closure of CNG.

The CNG Association President Shabbir Salman said that the authorities announced a 48 hours halt in the supply due to low pressure but the supply has still not been restored.

A large chunk of public transport including buses, rickshaws rely on CNG fuel. A day’s closure of CNG station affects a large part of population especially the working class which commutes through public transport.
