CM visits Iqbal mausoleum

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday visited the mausoleum of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal in connection with 139th birth anniversary of the national poet.

He laid floral wreath at Iqbal’s mausoleum and offered Fateha. He recorded his impression in the visitors’ book.

Talking to media persons, the CM said that success could be achieved by following the message of Iqbal in letter and spirit.

He said Dr Allama Iqbal gave message of brotherhood and peace through his poetry.”The path leading to progress and development will become easier to tread if some lesson is learnt from past mistakes”, he added.

The CM stressed that the nation has to move forward to set the country on the path of progress.

He said the gap between rich and poor should be removed to ensure better life for all and development of the country.
