Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has telephoned interior minister Chaudhry Nisar to lodge protest over superior authorities of Federal Investigation Agency allegedly more than Sindh government.
CM Qaim Ali Shah expressed deep concerns over raids and harassment incidents after extended authorities of FIA. He termed the moves as intervention in sovereignty of provinces.
Chaudhry Nisar responded that FIA was given authorities under Pakistan Protection Act (PPA) and provinces should not have concerns over it. He reasoned that special dominances were given to hold investigation free from police boundaries.
The interior minister clarified that the federal government has always respected sovereignty of all provincial government.
