Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif directed to hold judicial inquiry of deaths in Daska incident where two lawyers including Daska Bar President Rana Khalid Abbas and other lawyer Irfan Chauhan while several sustained injuries during clashes with riot police.
CM Shahbaz Sharif said that neutral investigation will be made for Daska incident to bring culprits to justice as no reason could be given to resorting to straight firing on the lawyers.
He strongly condemned sorrowful incident occurred in Daska and said that lawyers’ community played vital role for provision of early justice to the nationals and presented many sacrifices for judicial independence in Pakistan. He urged need of betterment in court and ‘Thana Culture’ in the country.
CM Punjab called investigation report by RPO Gujranwala for injured lawyer by firing in Kamoki city. He said that the government would provide all medical facilities to the wounded lawyer.
