CM Pervez Khattak says uplift of tourism spots top priority of KP govt

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that Chitral has natural beauty and it is one of the top priorities of the government to develop tourism spots in the province.

He said that the tourism in Chitral valley would be promoted on the pattern of galiyat that would not only create employment opportunities for the people of the area but also the funds generated through the promotion of tourism would be diverted for the welfare and development of that area.

He was talking to a delegation of Chitral led by MPA Fauzia Bibi at Chief Minister’s Secretariat Peshawar. The Chief Minister said that he was very much concerned about Chitral and would soon visit Chitral personally.

The Chief Minister said that 80 percent funds had already been released to the district governments with the sole purpose to ensure rapid development at gross roots level as per needs and aspirations of the people.  It was now up to the elected representatives to work hard, monitor the developmental schemes and ensure its quality completion within dateline.

The Chief Minister said that his government evolved a comprehensive strategy to generate additional resources and determined to put the province on the path of progress and prosperity. “We are committed to ensure development at grass roots level.”

The Chief Minister said that provision of better health facility was the top most priority of the government at district level for which doctors recruitment was in progress. There will be no political interference in postings and transfers to ensure availability of doctors in all government hospitals and divisional district, Tehsil and BHUs level.

He further said that “Sehat Saholat Card” facility introduced for poor patients would be provided on merit irrespective of political affiliation, like and dislike, he added. —APP
