LAHORE: Secretary General, Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that there are clear signs of revolt among the general public against the prevailing ruling elite and the present system based on exploitation and tyranny.
Addressing the notables of NA 126 in the city on Saturday, he said that values had totally changed in the society as justice, human rights, mutual respect and respect for mutual relations had evaporated.
The JI Secretary General said it had become inevitable to wipe out corruption. He said that the Prime Minister’s counsel in the Panama leaks case had failed to satisfy the court or the nation and the position of the ruling family was coming down with every passing day.
Liaqat Baloch said that doubts still prevailed in regard to the 2013 elections and split mandate had become a bane for national politics. As such, he said, the 2018 elections would be of great importance.
He said the next elections would be a real test for the ruling part as the problems of the masses had intensified r during this period.
