ISLAMABAD: A meeting of inter-provincial education ministers has decided to reopen educational institutions from January 18.
Teachers and administrators will be able to visit educational institutions from January 11. The Special Health Assistant to PM said the second wave of corona’s decline was due to the closure of educational institutions.
“We need to be more careful in this matter because the second wave is not over yet,” he said.
Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood told a press conference that on January 18, students of 9th, 10th and intermediate classes will be able to go to educational institutions. From January 25, the classes of primary to eighth grade will resume across the country, he added.
Board exams in March and April have been postponed. The exams will now be held in May and June, the minister said.
