Clashes kill eight soldiers, 75 militants in Afghanistan

KABUL:  At least eight Afghan soldiers were killed during storming clashes in the past 24 hours that killed 75 militants in different parts of Afghanistan on Saturday, the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan (MoD) stated in its latest report.

The statement said that the counter-terrorism operations were conducted with support of Afghan Air Force and artillery units, Khaama reported.

According to the report, the killed 43 militants include four commanders identified as Mullah Salam Uzbek, Mullah Naqibullah, Qari Naeem and Mullah Shahabuddin during raids conducted in Baghlan Markazi district of Baghlan province.

Two militants were killed and another injured in during raids in Wardak, Paktika, and Ghazni provinces.
