ISLAMABAD: President Pak-US Democratic Forum, Dr. Ashraf Toor has eulogized Pakistan’s diplomatic success as China was urging the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) member states in Seoul to make across the board modifications in its rules and grant membership to any non-Nuclear Proliferation Treaty (NPT) state.

Talking to Radio Pakistan’s Current Affairs program , he said that Pakistan should be granted NSG membership as it fulfilled all criteria to become the member, adding  that in contrast to India, Pakistan’s nuclear program was more secure and safer.

Toor said therefore, Pakistan’s case was stronger to be accepted.

He said due to Pakistan’s successful policy and principled stance, the application of India’s entry into Nuclear Suppliers Group had not been included in the agenda of NSG meeting in Seoul.

“Nuclear Suppliers Group is an elite club of nations. China has been making utmost efforts to fight for Pakistan’s case in the NSG meeting. It is a historical success and the opposition should also acknowledge Pakistan’s success in this regard”, he added.

He said “We will celebrate this victory in the US too”.

He also acknowledged a remarkable success of the advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi in this regard.
