China makes major progress towards 6G Internet

China has surpassed Elon Musk’s Starlink with a new breakthrough in satellite-to-Garth laser communication.

Following the success achieved by China, it appears that the 6G Internet, using satellite and laser communications for other technologies, is on the verge of becoming a reality.

Cheng Guang Satellite Technology, the manufacturer of the Jilin-1 satellite constellation, achieved this feat during a test run last week.

The company has confirmed to touch ultra-high speed image data transfer speed of 100 gigabit per second in the test.

This speed is 10 times higher than the previous record set by the company.

The success was recorded between a ground station mounted on a truck and one of the Jilin-1 satellites, according to the company.
