New Delhi: Children in India were mistakenly given sanitizers instead of polio vaccines.
According to a media reports, a serious negligence was shown in a village in Yuvatmal district of Maharashtra state of India where 12 children were given sanitizer instead of polio vaccine.
According to the district official, after the health of a child deteriorated, it was found out that the sanitizers had been fed by mistake. After which all the children were admitted to the district government hospital but now their condition is better.
Action has been ordered against three healthcare workers, including a doctor, for negligence. A three-day anti-polio drive was launched in India two days ago.
