KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja deserves praise for countering the pressure of the former government.
In his statement, we support the efforts of all institutions on the transition from a controversial to a constitutional role.
He said that Imran Khan’s politics was based on lies and propaganda.
The PPP chairman said that the Election Commission refused to turn the institution into Imran Khan’s Tiger Force. The Chief Election Commissioner stands by his institution and the constitution. We are hopeful that we will see a strong Election Commission in the future.
He further said that Imran Khan’s announcement of protest against the Election Commission is blackmailing in the foreign funding case, all the efforts of Imran Khan will fail and the truth will prevail.
It may be recalled that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced a protest outside the Election Commission offices across the country on April 26.
Earlier, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Imran Khan is using foreign conspiracy to justify the coup.
In a statement issued on Twitter on Monday, Bilawal Bhutto asked whether the DG ISPR would give an explanation. Did the National Security Committee declare 197 MPs as traitors? The National Security Committee declared 197 members as part of this foreign conspiracy?
The PPP chairman asked whether the Foreign Office or the Ministry of Defense could uncover conspiracy links between March 7 and 27.
He further said that of course such projects should have been investigated by the intelligence agencies and others. Imran Khan’s ego is not more important than Pakistan.
