KARACHI: The 70 th Independence Day celebrations began with a 21-gun salute and change of guards at the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam.
Two platoons comprising 48 cadets and 48 sailors, clad in ceremonial dresses, presented the guard of honour and assumed the ceremonial guard duties at the mausoleum.
On the occasion, various programmes and flag-hoisting ceremonies were organised by different institutions across the city.
