Champions Trophy: David Miller sets new record for fastest century

South African batter David Miller broke former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag’s 23-year-old record in the Champions Trophy.

David Miller set a new record for the fastest century in champions trophy history in the second semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy against New Zealand at The Qaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Wednesday.

Miller completed a century off 67 balls by taking two runs on the last ball of the match in pursuit of New Zealand’s target of 363 runs, but he could not give his team success.

However, Miller became the fastest batter to score a century in champions trophy history. His unbeaten innings of 100 off 67 balls included 10 fours and 4 sixes.

Earlier, former India opener Virender Sehwag scored a century off 77 balls against England in Colombo in 2002, which was the record for the fastest century at that time.
