CHAMAN: Pakistan has closed the Chaman border with Afghanistan for traffic over security concerns on Thursday.
According to sources, the Chaman border has been temporarily closed due to security concerns
Earlier in the day, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed addressing a press conference had said that the Chaman Crossing may be closed temporarily due to security threats. However, the interior minister claimed that situation was normal at the Torkham border.
It may be recalled that the Afghan Taliban had also closed the Chaman crossing for traffic after taking control of Kabul last month, which was reopened after talks with Pakistani officials.
