ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Tuesday rejected the Sindh government summery pertaining to curtail Rangers exclusive powers.
Interior ministry was of the view that the summery was against the article-143. Sindh Assembly, in its resolution, had given limited powers to the paramilitary force.
The interior ministry asked the provincial government to resend a summery with unconditional powers to Rangers. Interior ministry has said that Rangers is a federal institution and according to the constitution, no province can curtail its powers.
