Lahore:  Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq on Monday said that the federal and the provincial governments had nothing to do with the problems being faced by masses, adding that on the other hand JI and Al-Khidmat’s relief work is visible across the country.

Speaking to journalists, the JI chief said that further lockdown was unbearable for traders in Karachi.

He questioned that if the prime minister or his team do not favour lockdown then who else had stopped them from taking a decision on it?

There should be a uniform policy so that a joint strategy be made to deal with the pandemic, the JI chief said.

He said that the relief announcement of the government had not materialised as yet.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that to lessen the economic affects of restrictions on the masses the lockdown would have to be removed gradually in the country.

He stated this in a televised address to the nation.

The prime minister said that lockdown has to be removed so that citizens could earn livelihood.

However, he said that we have to follow safety measures otherwise our efforts would go waste.

About the Corona Relief Tiger Force, the prime minister said that it would help the people affected by lockdown.

He added that administration alone could not do much.
