LAHORE: Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee under Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman’s supervision on Tuesday will hold a meeting in Lahore to sight Shawwal moon.
Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees would also meet in their respective areas for the same purpose.
Sources told that the Middle East states including Saudi Arabia will conduct a session to sight the moon today but most likely the moon will be sighted on Tuesday
Weather specialists said that the moon would also likely to be witnessed in Punjab areas including Lahore which is an indication that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan would celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on the same day.
Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, will likely be on Wednesday, July 6, according to astronomers.
