CCOP decides to offer Sindh govt to take over PSM

ISLAMABAD: Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCOP) has approved transaction structure for privatisation of the Pakistan Steel Mills and activity sale of 74 per cent shares of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO).

The decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar which was attended by CCOP members.

CCOP decided to offer the Sindh government to take over the PSM along with its assets and dues.

A high-level committee was also established to complete finalisation process of privatisation of FESCO after approval of transaction infrastructure.
