Car in Nawaz’s rally allegedly kills boy, 15

GUJRAT: A 15-year-old teen was allegedly killed after being hit by a vehicle in ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s convoy in Gujrat today (Friday).

As per details, the ill-fate boy was identified as Hamid Chughtai, son of a rickshaw driver, got hit by a vehicle of the security staff.

His uncle claimed that he begged for help but no one stopped. The relatives protested on main GT Road against the ruling party.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said the local administration has been directed to investigate the matter and present a report. He said action will be taken as per law.

He further clarified that speed of Nawaz Sharif’s convoy was very slow, thus, occurrence of such incident was not possible.

In a message posted on Twitter, Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz expressed sorrow over the incident, stating that local authorities have been directed to provide assistance to the affected family.
