An important meeting was held in the Election Commission under the chairmanship of the Chief Election Commissioner, in which it was decided that the Election Commission cannot be a part of the consultation process of the Presidential Office on the matter of the elections of the two provincial assemblies.
The Election Commission says that the matter of the elections is pending in various judicial forums and the organization has already replied to the President of Pakistan on February 19. So the position of the Election Commission is still the same as on February 19.
