Cancellation of Customs Act in Malakand demanded

LAHROE: Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has called upon the federal government to issue clear-cut orders for the cancellation of the Customs Act in Malakand division.

He said that the JI would not allow the rulers to suck the blood of the people of Malakand. He was addressing a convention of the JI members from the area at Lower Dir on Saturday.

Sirajul Haq said there was no option for Pakistan and Afghanistan except being friends. He said there were Muslims on both sides and their bilateral hostility would only serve the enemy agenda.

He said that the US was striving to thrust its culture all over the world including Pakistan and wanted to put its agents in power everywhere.  In Pakistan, he said, the US loyalists had made the country slave of the US, the World Bank and the IMF.

The JI chief said that corruption had spread like cancer all over the country and there was nexus between terrorists and the corrupt due to which the lives of the people were threatened. He said it was high time that a decisive attack was launched on the corrupt.

Sirajul Haq condemned the rising incident sof kidnapping of children and said this had sent a wave insecurity throughout the society.

He appealed the masses to support the JI in its drive against corruption and setting up a welfare state in this country.
