ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced schedule to hold by-elections in NA-63 Jhelum-II on July 14, 2016.
According to the schedule issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan here on Thursday, the nomination papers will be filed on June 9 and 10, whereas the verification process of nomination papers will be completed on June 14.
The candidates will be able to file appeals (if any) to the tribunal against the decisions of the returning officers till June 16. The tribunal will decide appeals till June 20, the spokesman of the ECP said.
The candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nomination papers until June 22 and on the next day the final list of candidates will be published, he added.
It may be mentioned here that the above said seat was vacated due to the death of Member National Assembly Malik Iqbal Mehdi Khan.
