The polling is under way at by-election on a vacant seat in constituency PK-93 Upper Dir, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

At least 120 polling stations have been set up in the constituency for this purpose out of which 30 have been declared sensitive and 90 as very sensitive. Four candidates are taking part in the elections.

The seat fell vacant after disqualification of former MPA Behram Khan of Jamaat-e-Islami in a fake degree case in July.

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf and Qaumi Watan Party are backing the Jamaat-e-Islami candidate while ANP, JUI-F and PML-N are supporting Pakistan People’s Party candidate.
