By-election: Firdous says PM has stopped her from resigning

LAHORE: Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan has announced to participate in the Sialkot by-election campaign but the Prime Minister has stopped her from resigning from the post.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the election front in Sialkot is hot. In this regard, permission has been sought from the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to participate in the election campaign.

Firdous Ashiq said that she will continue to work as a special assistant until she is allowed to resign.

In a statement, she said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had stopped her from resigning and directed her to continue work.
