LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Thursday approved the cabinet’s recommendation of releasing PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz on a five-day parole.
According to sources at the provincial home department, Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz will be released on parole on Nov 27 at 2pm to attend the burial of Begum Shamim Akhtar.
They added that earlier the Punjab cabinet had approved the five-day parole of the PML-N leaders through a circulation.
The cabinet’s summary has been forwarded to the Punjab chief minister for approval.
