Budget conventional, no vision toward prosperity: Siraj-ul-Haq

ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Siraj-ul-Haq has said that the government spoiled people hope for relief in the budget. He said that the budget was conventional and the government had no new approach or vision towards prosperity and progress.

He said that the government had neither concerned with people’s representatives nor with business community before the budget. He continued that a warfare state must cut down its non-development expenses and spent the money for the relief of common men.

JI Chief said that it was not a warfare budget. He said that Pakistan’s total debt was about 3000 billion rupees in 50 years while the current government had taken 3000 billion loan in just last few years. He said that volume of debt was increasing 1000 billion rupees per fiscal year during the period of current government
