ISLAMABAD: Federal government is likely to allocate 772 billion rupees for defense ministry. The amount is 10 percent more than previous year.
Government allocated 700 billion rupees for defense last year. Sources said that the Defense Ministry requested to allocate 45 billion rupees extra for operation Zarb-e-Azb and security for Pak-China economic corridor. Defense expenditure will reach to 817 billion rupees if the above amount approve. Pension and development projects budget are not included in it.
